I worked as a student nurse at Yale Medical Center for over six months before getting married and moving to Phoenix, Arizona.
After the birth of our son Doug, my husband Hank was transferred to Southeast Asia and I returned to Connecticut to stay with my mom. I worked again at Yale-New Haven, this time as a P.R.N. nurse for almost a year.
At this time I took an 8 year hiatus to raise our children, Doug, Susan and Deborah. My next position was a nursing home in Anchorage, Alaska for three years.
Hank was tranferred again, this time to Valdosta Georgia where I held positions at two Nursing Homes where I discovered that my calling in life was Geriatric Medicine.
We were then reassigned to Belleville, Illinois where I continued working in Geriatric Nursing for a year and a half. Hank retired from the Air Force and we moved to Maine.
