1. Joseph¹ Hively was born Muskingum County, Ohio Jan. 5, 1802. Joseph died Sept. 22, 1882 Monmouth, Illinois, at 80 years of age.

He married Rachel Pool Knox County, Illinois, March 21, 1844. Rachel was born Martinville, Warren County, Kentucky May 13, 1829. Rachel was the daughter of John Henry Pool and Temperance G. "Tempe" Lomax. Rachel died Sept. 24, 1870 Warren County, Illinois, at 41 years of age. At 15 years of age Rachel became the mother of Anjeline Hively Warren County, Illinois, Dec. 23, 1844. At 16 years of age Rachel became the mother of Lucinda Jane Hively Jan. 5, 1846. At 18 years of age Rachel became the mother of Sarah Elizabeth Hively Warren County, Illinois, Feb. 5, 1848. At 19 years of age Rachel became the mother of John Hively Warren County, Illinois, March 24, 1849. At 22 years of age Rachel became the mother of William Hively May 2, 1852. At 25 years of age Rachel became the mother of James H. Hively Warren County, Illinois, July 3, 1854. At 28 years of age Rachel became the mother of Temperance Levonia Hively Oct. 6, 1857. At 29 years of age Rachel became the mother of Julia H. "Ellen" Hively Sept. 25, 1858. At 32 years of age Rachel became the mother of Rebecca Isabelle "Becky" Hively Nov. 25, 1861. At 33 years of age Rachel became the mother of Thomas H. Hively Sept. 22, 1862. At 36 years of age Rachel became the mother of Nancy Arminda "Minnie" Hively Warren County, Illinois, July 14, 1865. At 38 years of age Rachel became the mother of Solomon Emerson Hively Illinois, Dec. 24, 1867.

At 42 years of age Joseph became the father of Anjeline Hively Warren County, Illinois, Dec. 23, 1844. At 44 years of age Joseph became the father of Lucinda Jane Hively Jan. 5, 1846. At 46 years of age Joseph became the father of Sarah Elizabeth Hively Warren County, Illinois, Feb. 5, 1848. At 47 years of age Joseph became the father of John Hively Warren County, Illinois, March 24, 1849. At 50 years of age Joseph became the father of William Hively May 2, 1852. At 52 years of age Joseph became the father of James H. Hively Warren County, Illinois, July 3, 1854. At 55 years of age Joseph became the father of Temperance Levonia Hively Oct. 6, 1857. At 56 years of age Joseph became the father of Julia H. "Ellen" Hively Sept. 25, 1858. At 59 years of age Joseph became the father of Rebecca Isabelle "Becky" Hively Nov. 25, 1861. At 60 years of age Joseph became the father of Thomas H. Hively Sept. 22, 1862. At 63 years of age Joseph became the father of Nancy Arminda "Minnie" Hively Warren County, Illinois, July 14, 1865. At 65 years of age Joseph became the father of Solomon Emerson Hively Illinois, Dec. 24, 1867.

John was born York County, Pennsylvania 1833. John died Sept. 4, 1887 Cook County, Illinois, at 54 years of age. At 43 years of age John became the father of Eliza Ellen Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 12, 1876. John became the father of Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss Warren County, Illinois, abt. 1878. At 51 years of age John became the father of Myrtle Mage Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, May 16, 1885. Anjeline became the mother of Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss Warren County, Illinois, abt. 1878.

4 iii. Lucinda Jane Hively was born Jan. 5, 1846. Lucinda died April 10, 1926 Oquawka, Henderson County, Illinois, at 80 years of age. She married twice. She married Daniel Barnes. Daniel became the father of John Barnes Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 3, 1899. (See Daniel Barnes for the continuation of this line.) She married John Swigart Huss. John was born York County, Pennsylvania 1833. John died Sept. 4, 1887 Cook County, Illinois, at 54 years of age. At 43 years of age John became the father of Eliza Ellen Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 12, 1876. John became the father of Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss Warren County, Illinois, abt. 1878. At 51 years of age John became the father of Myrtle Mage Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, May 16, 1885. At 43 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Ira Hamilton Huss Olena Precinct, Henderson County, Illinois, Feb. 13, 1889. At 53 years of age Lucinda became the mother of John Barnes Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 3, 1899.

5 iv. Sarah Elizabeth Hively was born Warren County, Illinois Feb. 5, 1848. Sarah died Jan. 5, 1908 Boulder County, Colorado, at 59 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Jan. 5, 1908 Boulder County, Colorado, Niwot Cemetery. She married Thomas Jefferson Springsteel Warren County, Illinois, June 29, 1871. Thomas was born May 5, 1848. Feb. 10, 1892 Boulder County, Colorado, Niwot Cemetery. At 22 years of age Thomas became the father of Francis Marion Springsteel May 1870. At 24 years of age Thomas became the father of James Hiram Springsteel Illinois, Jan. 11, 1873. At 26 years of age Thomas became the father of Charles Springsteel Warren County, Illinois, 1874. At 24 years of age Sarah became the mother of James Hiram Springsteel Illinois, Jan. 11, 1873. At 26 years of age Sarah became the mother of Charles Springsteel Warren County, Illinois, 1874. At 27 years of age Sarah became the mother of Walter Springsteel Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, Jan. 31, 1876.

6 v. John Hively was born Warren County, Illinois March 24, 1849. John died Sept. 18, 1866 at 17 years of age.

7 vi. William Hively was born May 2, 1852. William died Oct. 18, 1866 at 14 years of age.

+ 8 vii. James H. Hively was born July 3, 1854.

9 viii. Temperance Levonia Hively was born Oct. 6, 1857. Temperance died Oct. 12, 1890 at 33 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Oct. 12, 1890 Warren County, Illinois, Spring Grove Cemetery. She married George Adams. (See George Adams for the continuation of this line.)

12 xi. Thomas H. Hively was born Sept. 22, 1862. He married Mary Unknown.
