Edward became the father of Mary Hitchcock Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts, Feb. 2, 1637/1638.

Edward Hitchcock had the following children:

2 i. Abigail² Hitchcock.

3 ii. John Hitchcock.

4 iii. Samuel Hitchcock.

5 iv. Joseph Hitchcock.

6 v. Mary Hitchcock was born Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts Feb. 2, 1637/1638. She married Ralph Russell New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, Oct. 17, 1663. Ralph was born Pontipad, Monmouthshire, England 1592. At 79 years of age Ralph became the father of Samuel Russell Dec. 29, 1671. (See Ralph Russell for the continuation of this line.)

At 33 years of age Mary became the mother of Samuel Russell Dec. 29, 1671.
