1. Ralph¹ Russell was born Pontipad, Monmouthshire, England 1592.

He married Mary Hitchcock New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, Oct. 17, 1663. Mary was born Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts Feb. 2, 1637/1638. Mary was the daughter of Edward Hitchcock. At 33 years of age Mary became the mother of Samuel Russell Dec. 29, 1671.

At 79 years of age Ralph became the father of Samuel Russell Dec. 29, 1671.

Ralph Russell and Mary Hitchcock had the following child:
