At 39 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Myrtle Mage Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, May 16, 1885. At 43 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Ira Hamilton Huss Olena Precinct, Henderson County, Illinois, Feb. 13, 1889. At 53 years of age Lucinda became the mother of John Barnes Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 3, 1899.

Daniel became the father of John Barnes Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 3, 1899.

Daniel Barnes and Lucinda Jane Hively had the following children:
