1. Thomas Jefferson¹ Springsteel⁽²⁹⁷⁾ was born May 5, 1848. Thomas died Feb. 10, 1892 Boulder County, Colorado, at 43 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 10, 1892 Boulder County, Colorado, Niwot Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Sarah C. Hall Warren County, Illinois, Jan. 7, 1869. Sarah became the mother of Francis Marion Springsteel May 1870. He married Sarah Elizabeth Hively Warren County, Illinois, June 29, 1871. Sarah was born Warren County, Illinois Feb. 5, 1848. Sarah was the daughter of Joseph Hively and Rachel Pool. Sarah died Jan. 5, 1908 Boulder County, Colorado, at 59 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Jan. 5, 1908 Boulder County, Colorado, Niwot Cemetery. At 24 years of age Sarah became the mother of James Hiram Springsteel Illinois, Jan. 11, 1873. At 26 years of age Sarah became the mother of Charles Springsteel Warren County, Illinois, 1874. At 27 years of age Sarah became the mother of Walter Springsteel Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, Jan. 31, 1876.

At 22 years of age Thomas became the father of Francis Marion Springsteel May 1870. At 24 years of age Thomas became the father of James Hiram Springsteel Illinois, Jan. 11, 1873. At 26 years of age Thomas became the father of Charles Springsteel Warren County, Illinois, 1874. At 27 years of age Thomas became the father of Walter Springsteel Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois, Jan. 31, 1876.

Thomas Jefferson Springsteel and Sarah C. Hall had the following child:
