1. John Swigart¹ Huss was born York County, Pennsylvania 1833. John died Sept. 4, 1887 Cook County, Illinois, at 54 years of age.

He married twice. He married Lucinda Jane Hively. Lucinda was born Jan. 5, 1846. Lucinda was the daughter of Joseph Hively and Rachel Pool. Lucinda died April 10, 1926 Oquawka, Henderson County, Illinois, at 80 years of age. At 30 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Eliza Ellen Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 12, 1876. At 39 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Myrtle Mage Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, May 16, 1885. At 43 years of age Lucinda became the mother of Ira Hamilton Huss Olena Precinct, Henderson County, Illinois, Feb. 13, 1889. At 53 years of age Lucinda became the mother of John Barnes Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 3, 1899. He married Anjeline Hively Warren County, Illinois, Oct. 17, 1867. Anjeline was born Warren County, Illinois Dec. 23, 1844. Anjeline was the daughter of Joseph Hively and Rachel Pool. Anjeline died May 1874 at 29 years of age. Anjeline became the mother of Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss Warren County, Illinois, abt. 1878.

At 43 years of age John became the father of Eliza Ellen Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, July 12, 1876. John became the father of Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss Warren County, Illinois, abt. 1878. At 51 years of age John became the father of Myrtle Mage Huss Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois, May 16, 1885. At 55 years of age John became the father of Ira Hamilton Huss Olena Precinct, Henderson County, Illinois, Feb. 13, 1889.

John Swigart Huss and Anjeline Hively had the following children:

2 i. Roxie Jane² Huss. She married Ernest Stoutesman Mathers Walnut Grove, Henderson County, Illinois, Oct. 25, 1887. Ernest was the son of Samuel Mathers and Katherine Ann Gibson.

3 ii. Sarah Rachael "Sadie" Huss was born Warren County, Illinois abt. 1878. She married John A. Nelson Henderson County, Illinois, Sept. 6, 1893. John was the son of Charles Nelson and Anna Johnson.

John Swigart Huss and Lucinda Jane Hively had the following children:

5 iv. Eliza Ellen Huss was born Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois July 12, 1876. She married Maurice Painter Henderson County, Illinois, Oct. 25, 1892.

6 v. Myrtle Mage Huss was born Gladstone, Henderson County, Illinois May 16, 1885. She married Charles Kinsley Oct. 25, 1902. Charles was the son of Samuel Kinsley and Mineron Ceclars.

+ 7 vi. Ira Hamilton Huss was born Feb. 13, 1889.
