With this page being all about what the bible has to say to us it probably is important to understand what the bible really is. Is it just a mere collection of stories? Well taken straight from the word of God I believe that it can be shown that the Bible is the word of God and not just inspired writing. And when I say inspired I mean like if you were to watch Michael Jordan play basketball and then be inspired to go out and play basketball. It is the Holy Spirit giving the author the words to write. Here are some verses that help explain this.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:21
for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

1 Peter 1:10-12
10 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, 11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things into which angels long to look.

Acts 28:25
