Our Thoughts

What if everyone else could know what you are thinking? What if as you walked down the street everyone could know what you are thinking? What would they think about what you think about them? Well God knows what we are thinking. In Proverbs 12:5 it says that the thoughts of the righteous are just but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. Well how just are our thoughts? Walk down the street just like everyone could know your thoughts and see if you think any differently.

Genesis 6:5-7
5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 And the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them."

1 Chronicles 28:9
"As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Psalm 94:11
The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are a mere breath.

Proverbs 12:5-6
5 The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. 6 The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright will deliver them.

Isaiah 55:7-9
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. 8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 59:7-8
7 Their feet run to evil, and they hasten to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; devastation and destruction are in their highways. 8 They do not know the way of peace, and there is no justice in their tracks; they have made their paths crooked; whoever treads on them does not know peace.

Isaiah 66:17-18
17 "Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the gardens, following one in the center, who eat swine's flesh, detestable things, and mice, shall come to an end altogether," declares the LORD. 18 "For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.

Jeremiah 4:14
Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you?

Ezekiel 11:5
Then the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and He said to me, "Say, 'Thus says the LORD, "So you think, house of Israel, for I know your thoughts.

Ezekiel 38:10
'Thus says the Lord GOD, "It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan,

Matthew 9:4-5
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, "Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 "For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, and walk'?

Luke 2:34-35
34 And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, "Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed-- 35 and a sword will pierce even your own soul-- to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed."

1 Corinthians 2:11
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
