What is alright to keep stored away and what should we get out in the open? Well I find myself sometime trying to keep secrets from God and that is pretty stupid, He knows anyway. We might as well get clean with the Lord and not have to carry around that baggage.

Other situations might be with your wife or a close friend. There may be things that we try to keep from them. According to God's word it is right to be transparent and honest. Love doesn't have secrets.

Numbers 21:4-9
4 Then they set out from Mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the people became impatient because of the journey. 5 The people spoke against God and Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this miserable food." 6 The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. 7 So the people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us." And Moses interceded for the people. 8 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live." 9 And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

24 The sins of some men are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others, their sins follow after. 25 Likewise also, deeds that are good are quite evident, and those which are otherwise cannot be concealed.

The Truth Will Come Out

Mark 4:22
For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light.

Luke 12:2
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

Romans 2:16
on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

Integrity is Having No Hidden or Secret Motives

I Corinthians 4:5
Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and then each man's praise will come to him from God.

II Corinthians 4:2
but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
