5/5/2000 Planetary Alignment

Well, I never did get this section finished in time, but did it really matter? Just as I suspected (and just as most people suspected) the poles didn't shift, the Earth didn't go careening into the sun, we didn't have a massive solar flare wipe out life on our planet, etc, etc. In fact, not much of anything happened that day. Overall, it was a fairly slow news day!

We as humans in our present form of limited awareness expect that everything that changes the world must be an outside event. It must be something big and horrific and scary for us to pay attention or even notice it. It's not "acceptable" to the doomsayers and gore-hunters (and I don't mean Al!) if nothing catastrophic happens on a physical level. Most people don't recognize that anything happening on an unseen level can be more important than that on the seen.

Astrologically, this alignment was an important event in our continuing evolution. In my opinion, we as a collective have something to be proud of: in spite of the tensions of the heavens around the time of the alignment, no one blew up a small country or shot down any planes! Good job! Maybe this means that we truly are advancing a little. There have been so many apologies and peace agreements made lately by religions and nations that, while making many nervous, makes you wonder if we really are getting somewhere.
