Thoughts from Our Minister

NuryaPulpit1.jpg (10457 bytes)We are here to learn to love more perfectly - in the church, in the world and with each other in all the joys and struggles of life.  Two thousand years ago, Jesus taught "You shall love the lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself"   (Luke 10:27)  His words are a beacon of fullness of life today and for all time.  They have always been at the center of our Unitarian Universalist tradition.

Since "Love" is my mother's maiden name, I've had plenty of opportunities to consider its meaning.  Loving includes telling the truth, admitting wrongdoing, and hoping for more than seems possible.  To love God, you first must get to know God.  The same is true for loving your neighbor and loving yourself.

Epiphany Community Church is a congregation committed to seeking, embodying and living by God's love.
