HAVELI FOR YOGI VAID.
Built next to their existing house, the structure is meant for enjoyment and entertainment in the lap of the traditional haveli. The courtyard is created by building arches that enclose yet allow the nature to filter in through them. One room with the toilet and kitchenette is built on ground floor while the first floor grows over this with an walkway overlooking the courtyard.
The walls were built using thick brick masonry with cavity walls at places. The brick piers take the load of the I sections which in turn support the sandstone slabs in lieu of the RCC.
Extensive use of sandstone brackets / columns / parapets have created the correct ambience.
