After having studied languages in Heidelberg (hence HeidelBears) and Paris, I worked as Export Manager in different chocolate companies in Germany and Switzerland. In 1993, my husband had a company transfer to the USA and since then we have been living near Atlanta, Georgia. I started making miniature bears in 1997 and I enjoy working on them almost every day. I like classic, old-looking teddy bears but also realistic looking bears; Grizzlies and Polar bears in particular. And I like fiddling around with other stuff, like Fimo, dyes, music boxes, nothing is really safe from me! I usually sell my bears through the Internet and at the Bear and Doll Shows in Georgia. Once a year I travel to Germany and during my last visit, I exhibited at Teddybaer Total in Hennef, the largest bear show in the world. In 1998 my clown bear Beppo won a special award in the competition "Circus Baerasani" and both my entries for the Golden George were nominated in the miniature category.
