I like creating bears after personalities from literature, music, history, or any other subject that I find interesting. Needless to say that they are all, one-of-a-kinds.

These bears are created after the novel "Pole Poppenspaeler" by German author Theodor Storm. It is the story of a puppeteer who travels through Germany with his family. The puppets are 1 1/2" (3,5 cm) tall. The other bears are between 2 1/2 "(6 cm) and 4" (10 cm) tall. The puppeteer stands inside an old book where the pages are cut out to represent the stage of a puppet theater. This vignette also achieved one of the 5 nominations for the Golden George award in Hennef, Germany in April 1998.
