2000-01 Season

• On April 5, 2001 Casey was reassigned to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL after playing in 11 games with Chicago.
• Casey recorded his first NHL point, an assist, March 18, 2001 versus Anaheim.
• March 13, 2001 - Today the Norfolk Admirals announced that the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), Norfolk’s parent club, recalled forward Casey Hankinson.
• On September 22, 2000 he was assigned to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL.

1999-2000 Season

• On September 15, 1999 Casey was assigned to the Cleveland Lumberjacks in the IHL.

1998-1999 Season

• On September 25, 1998 Casey was assigned to the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League.

Casey's first training camp

• On Saturday Sept. 5, 1998 Casey reported to Chicago to begin training camp with the Blackhawks. The first practice was held Monday Sept. 7.
• On Tuesday Sept. 8 the Blackhawks rookie team traveled to Traverse City, Michigan to participate in a rookie tournament including teams from: Nashville, St. Louis, and Detroit. The team won their first three games before losing the championship game to Nashville on Friday Sept. 11.During the tournament, Casey played in all four games ending with four assists and eleven penalty minutes.

During training camp players were divided into 3 teams: Red, Gold, and Black. Casey was a member of the Black team. He participated in all 5 scrimmages and scored 1 goal.
