 2000-OCT-08: MS
Windows Media - Today I received an e-mail from
Alexandre about the whole new trailers from Sandra's
upcoming movie "Miss Congeniality." They are
now available for you to view them in two qualities (depending
on your connection speed) - 56
kbit/s and 300
kbit/s streaming video at WindowsMedia website. Well,
enjoy!
2000-OCT-07:
Reuters - French director Barbet Schroeder, best
known for suspense movies "Single White Female,"
"Reversal of Fortune" and "Desperate
Measures, may team up with Sandra Bullock on a thriller.
He is in final negotiations to direct a Castle Rock
project formerly called "Murder by Numbers,"
but now known as the "Untitled Tony Gayton Project"
- a nod to the film's writer.

Sandra Bullock was given an award this weekend. She's got
the "Inspiration of the Year" award which is a
Sojourn Services award for special deeds made by famous
people also to be an inspiration for all of us. This
article from Los
Angeles Times says that Sandra Bullock won this award
for recently supporting many charities for cancer,
pediatric AIDS and PETA.
2000-SEP-21:
Calgary
Herald has another article about "28 Days"
which is coming to home video in these days. The reviewer
says that "28 Days" (CTS) offers the likeable
and bankable Sandra Bullock as Gwen, a New York writer
who hasn't a clue she's in serious trouble with booze and
pills. The risk here is that the problem is treated more
lightly than usual with the apparent plan being to disarm
the audience with laughs at her drunken behaviour.
Ruining her sister's wedding by falling into the cake
then hijacking the limo and crashing it wasn't even the
worst thing Gwen did after stumbling through the ceremony.
So it's off to rehab for the required period of the title
where we meet the usual cast of characters (the suicidal
teen, the addicted baseball pitcher-stud, the grumpy
introvert and, most of all, the crusty but benign
supervisor).
2000-SEP-20:
Premiere.com
has this short article about "28 Days." It says
that although it doesn't come close to the heights of
such addiction-classics as The Lost Weekend or Clean and
Sober, this melodrama, about a booze and pill addict (Bullock)
who's forced into rehab after a drunk-driving incident,
is still a surprisingly touching and tender affair. Some
of Thomas's attempts at comic levity come off as
sitcomish, but Bullock and the fine ensemble deftly avoid
the cheap sentimentality so often associated with the
genre.
2000-SEP-19:
Industry Standard - San Francisco's Food.com is
as chic as a neighborhood bistro, with its wrought-iron
lobby chairs dressed up like vegetables. But the online
meal-ordering company will shift away from focusing on
neighborhood hot spots in favor of national chains such
as Papa John's. And how is this connected with Sandy?
Well, Food.com started after one of its founders watched
the Sandra Bullock movie "The Net" and decided
it would be cool to order pizza online. The company was
originally called Cyberslice. It later morphed into
Cybermeals before becoming Food.com. Hehe!
2000-SEP-18:
Reuters - Sandra Bullock is in discussions with
Castle Rock to topline "Murder by Numbers." The
script has caught the eye of Bullock, who insiders say
had such a pleasant experience starring in the Donald
Petrie-helmed "Miss Congeniality" (due to open
Dec. 22 via Warner Bros.) for Castle Rock that she's very
much considering starring in the newest effort by "Salton
Sea" scribe Tony Gayton. She is also talking with
Castle Rock about other projects. No director is as yet
attached to "Numbers." The script centers on
two gifted high school students who plan and execute a
series of perfect murders, and then engage in a battle of
wits with an FBI (news - web sites) profiler who is
working her first field case.
2000-SEP-17:
Here's the article about test screening of "Miss
Congeniality" from Ain't
It Cool News. As written in the article "Miss
Congeniality" is the type of film which, for the
crowd that would never see this film because of the
trailer, would spew hatred for it as being another bland
romantic comedy type of thing. However, for fans of those
types of film... this is their heroin. You can read a
couple of reviews here (one of them is positive, the
other negative). Well, you have to decide for yourself
which one is right... But beware - this article contains
some spoilers!
2000-SEP-14:
PRNewswire - Sandra Bullock will attend PETA's
20th Anniversary Bash Hosted By Chrissie Hynde at The
World Famous Viper Room in Hollywood Wednesday, September
13, 2000. PETA stands for People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals. Other celebrity supporters include
Alicia Silverstone, Pamela Anderson and Marcus
Schenkenberg, Charlize Theron, Thomas Gibson, Spike
Jonze, Sofia Coppola, Toby Maguire, Elvira, Rosanna
Arquette, Bill Maher, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Owen Wilson
and Chrissie Hynde.

JAM!
Showbiz: Sandra Bullock is to play boxing manager in
the film "Upcoming Ropes." The Hollywood
Reporter says Bullock has signed on to star in the real-life
story of female boxing manager Jackie Kallen in "On
The Ropes." The story follows Kallen as she breaks
into the Detroit boxing scene and guides the careers of
fighters, including former middleweight champ James Toney.
Kallen is also a fight promoter and a former commissioner
of the International Female Boxing Association.
2000-SEP-02:
"28 Days" also goes DVD! The release date of
this movie is September 19, 2000 and we really should
look forward to it! According this article from Bergen
Record, the DVD version of this film will offer such
extras as the "lost episodes" of a soap opera
that plays a part in the movie, two "lost songs"
from "Guitar Guy," three "character
testimonials," an isolated music track, and audio
commentary by director Betty Thomas, producer Jenno
Topping, editor Peter Teschner, and composer Richard
Gibbs. Awesome!
2000-SEP-01:
Kansas
City Star: Sandra's latest movie "28 Days"
is now being released on video. It was a tough sell in
theaters, because it looked suspiciously like a Lifetime
movie of the week. But director Betty Thomas,
screenwriter Susannah Grant and Bullock have made an
effective comedy-drama that intelligently explores
addiction and the road to recovery. Sandy doesn't ham it
up as a hard-drinkin' journalist whose day of reckoning
comes after a drunken antic at her sister's wedding.
Reluctantly she's tossed into rehab for 28 days and at
first ignores the idea that she has a problem. There she
meets and befriends a cast of eccentrics, all struggling
to overcome their addiction.
2000-AUG-28:
This article has some information about Sandra's upcoming
movie "Miss Congeniality" which hits the U.S.
theaters on December 22, 2000. The article is a part of Corona
Productions website and their section called Coming
Attractions. It contains some basic information about the
film plus the reviews and comments. And what's the plot?
Well, it is a story about an FBI agent who must go
undercover in the Miss New Jersey beauty pageant to
prevent a group from bombing the event.
2000-AUG-10:
Reuters - Forest Whitaker and Dwight Yoakam are
in final negotiations to star in Columbia Pictures'
"The Panic Room." Whitaker, an actor and
occasional director, would star with musician and
occasional thespian Yoakam as two of three thieves intent
on retrieving a hidden stockpile of cash in an old New
York brownstone. Between them and the cash lies a "panic
room," the centerpiece of David Koepp's script in
which a single mom-homeowner (Sandra Bullock) and her
daughter hide, battling to defend their lives and home.

JAM!
Showbiz: DVD's and video cassettes of the film "Fire
On The Amazon" has been in stores for the past
several weeks. The never-released-in-theatres movie co-stars
Sandra Bullock and Craig Sheffer and was directed by Luis
Llosa, who also made Anaconda. So for all of you who
always wanted to see this movie, now it's a chance to buy
your own copy. The movie is being released in two
versions, in both VHS and DVD formats. One is a "rated"
version that has less sex, by a few seconds. The other is
"unrated" and has the full sex act.

Philadelphia
News: The party at the Troc is not a GOP-sanctioned
event, but it is one of more than 1,000 parties planned
during the Republican National Convention. The party at
the Troc is called "Shock the Vote," which is a
poke at MTV's "Rock the Vote" effort. It's the
brainchild of Grasse, who runs a multimillion-dollar
advertising firm that specializes in giving products edgy
new appeal. According to Nicole Cashman, a local event
planner, Sandra Bullock and some other celebrities have
been also invited to this party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SANDY BULLOCK!!!
Today is a special day for you. The day like this comes
only once a year - don't forget to enjoy it! I wish you
all the best, much love and many good people around you
keeping you happy and smiling. Keep in mind that work
isn't everything... Making people happy, seeing them
smiling and enjoying the life - that's the thing we live
for. Carry on smiling and the world will smile with you.
And remember - age is just a number, don't stop having
fun! Happy birthday to you!
2000-JUL-17:
Mr
Showbiz: Sandra Bullock will swap her high heels for
a martyr's crown in her new picture, a thriller about a
woman trapped in an abusive relationship. Bullock, who
has been busy filming the beauty pageant adventure "Miss
Congeniality," will relink with producer Irwin
Winkler for "Enough," according to The
Hollywood Reporter. The two worked together on 1995's
"The Net," an X-Files rip-off that featured
Bullock in the laughable role of a computer programmer
who becomes the victim of an online conspiracy coup.
Bullock and Winkler will turn things up a notch this
time, with the actress attempting to flee an evil force
made of flesh rather than circuit boards. Bullock has
also signed a deal that allows her to make decisions
about Enough's development. Well, the idea sounds really
interesting to me.
2000-JUL-12:
National
Enquirer's web site has another movie quiz. They
called it "Fun Quiz: Can You Do a Number on These
Movie Titles?" Well, you just have to fill in the
blanks with the correct choice (to pick the numbers and
match them with the correct movie titles). Sandra's
latest film ".. Days" is also one of the
options. Anyway, I hope that at least this one is a piece
of cake for you. :-) Perhaps I would have found it even
quite interesting if they hadn't included the correct
answers key right below the quiz on the same (!) page.
This time it is quite useless, I think.
2000-JUL-08:
The latest issue of Slovak magazine Eurotelevizia (#29/2000)
has an exclusive interview with Sandra Bullock. Sandy
talks about fame and how it influenced her life. She says
that fame isn't the most important thing in her life and
that she still cares more about her friends and the
things she likes. Sandy describes herself as a stubborn,
naive, trustworthy, sexy, funny and also sleepy and
sneezy person. :-) Then she mentions her teenage years
and how much she likes that she's not perfect. After that
she says that she likes being single and dating. She also
like romantic moments but those can never be planned. In
the end Sandy yet mentions some extreme situations of her
life (diving with sharks all around and parashuting) and
her house in Austin. There are also some nice pictures in
the magazine but they match the pictures from the Total
Film magazine. You can check them out on Page 7 of my Image Database. Here
is also the scan of
the cover picture. Enjoy!
2000-JUN-30:
And now to Sandra's relationships with men. According to
this TV
Guide article Sandra Bullock says she's through with
dating her co-stars. After failed relationships with
Matthew McConaughey and Tate Donovan, Sandy is still
looking for love and says she's finally feeling prepared
to have children. Also the death of Bullock's mother,
Helga, may have prompted the star to make a few changes.
Here are some Sandy's quotes on the topic:
"It's taken me a long time to be comfortable in
my own skin. I just didn't want to subject my kids to a
neurotic mother. I always wanted to feel as if I could
put myself first. I'm very close to feeling that way now."
"[On being with her co-stars] It's unnatural because
you spend more time with this person than you would with
your significant other. In the beginning you think, 'Oh,
he's so sweet and attentive.' Then you realize it says he
has to be that way in the script."
2000-JUN-23:
This article from National
Enquirer reveals how the fathers of famous movie
stars influenced their lives. George Clooney, Gwyneth
Paltrow, Jerry Stiller, Howard Stern, Jay Leno, Michael
Douglas, Sharon Stone, Emilio Estevez, Kim Basinger and
of course our sweetheart Sandra Bullock talk about their
dads. Where would all the stars be without their fathers?
How would their lives look? How much are dads involved in
their careers? You can find out in this article. And
here's what Sandy Bullock had to say about her father:
"I love my dad for how he always puts his
family's needs ahead of his own."
"He'd install a toilet and I'd tile the kitchen.
He'd sand the floors and I'd shellac the baseboards. We
both acquired blisters and bruised knuckles, but it was
one of the happiest times of my life."
2000-JUN-20:
FOX
News: In much of Europe studios have decided not to
compete with the Euro 2000 soccer play-offs, and receipts
plunged across-the-board. The box office results for
released movies were not as good as expected. Sandra
Bullock's "28 Days" tried to counter-program
against soccer in the U.K. and Italy, but it went dry in
both. With only five markets to come, the recovering
alcoholic saga has earned just $14.6 million overseas.
2000-JUN-19:
San
Francisco Examiner: FX, the cable sister of the Fox
network, has bought the rights to the TV series "Action"
and will air all 13 episodes, including five that were
never seen, starting Tuesday (10:30 p.m., FX). So if you
live in the USA and you didn't watch the show this past
fall on the Fox television network, now this is a chance
you really should take. Sandra Bullock plays herself in
the episode called "Blowhard" and she is
awesome! Read this long article for more information
about the series.
2000-JUN-12:
Associated Press - The class of 2000 at Gray-New
Gloucester High School in Portland, Maine, was looking
for a big-name commencement speaker. So it sent
invitations to former presidents, Hollywood stars such as
Sandra Bullock and Nicolas Cage and scores of other
celebrities. "60 Minutes" commentator Andy
Rooney was the only one to accept. He did so, he told the
115 graduates Sunday, because he likes young people and
Maine. Rooney emphasized the importance of lifelong
learning, regardless of whether one goes on to college.
Maybe Sandy was just too busy to be there...
2000-JUN-03:
Wow! It seems like San Antonio has become a big cool
pageant! Filming of Sandra's new movie "Miss
Congeniality" is taking place in San Antonio during
these days. I found some really cool articles at
MySanAntonio.com where you can read the short stories
right from the place. Like what the food is like or how
cool the hotels and recreation are there. They also have
fantastic pictures on some of the listed sites! I would
also like to express my big thanks to Buffyfan for
mailing me this great info from his local newspaper San
Antonio Express News:
"Hey, I live in San Antonio where filming of
"Miss Congeniality" is and has been taking
place from May 31 to probably to the weekend. My
newspaper [San Antonio Express News] and local news has
many images of her. It talks about one scene where it's
the talent part of the beauty pageant and Sandra plays
the tune "Somewhere My Love" on wine glasses.
Another scene had onlookers gasping, when Sandra's stunt
double runs across the stage and dives into the audience."

This article from Seattle
Post-Intelligencer says that high-school photos of
Kurt Cobain, Sandra Bullock, Snoop Doggy Dogg and other
celebrities will be featured in a new online photo
gallery run by Renton online high-school community
ClassMates.com and RollingStone.com, the web site of the
popular music magazine. I wonder if these pictures will
be those old well-known ones or some hot new ones never
shown before.
2000-MAY-31:
The FHM magazine's list of the 100 sexiest women has got
its final shape. The poll has been closed recently and
the results are now available at the FHM's
website as well as in the July issue of FHM magazine.
They also have some very nice pictures on their website.
Sandra Bullock took the 21st place on the list. I think
it's a quite good result.
2000-MAY-24:
And more on filming of "Miss Congeniality." You
can read some facts from making of the movie in this
article from Austin360.
It says that the movie was shooting outside Starbucks,
offering an excellent opportunity for unapologetic
celebrity gawking (well, do you live in Austin? :-) And
Austin, at least in the scene filming Monday, portrays
New York. There was a faux construction project (so much
more sophisticated and metropolitan than actual Austin
construction), and cabs and other vehicles with New York
plates lined the street. In what we hope is a crucial
plot point, there were veering cars and squealing tires
in the middle of Congress Avenue. I also got an e-mail
message from Debra White who works at Samsung Austin
Semiconductor in Austin, TX. Big thanks for sharing her
excitement. Here's what Debra had to say about the
filming:
"They are filming today in our building (our
second floor has been turned into the Manhattan and New
York FBI Control Center/Hq). It's amazing how much stuff/people
it takes to film these scenes. We're pretty excited here..."
2000-MAY-23:
Czech magazine Total Film (#4, June 2000 issue) has an
interview with Sandra Bullock and a "28 Days"
movie review. You can also win a 28 Days T-shirt in their
quiz. In the interview Sandra talks about the film (on
how the life goes on in rehab, what those people there
are like and what happened in making of the movie). Sandy
also reveals some things about herself: on her first
hangover, on how serious workoholic she is and how much
she likes working around her house. As usual, it also
came up to questions about her girl-next-door image.
Sandra says that she loves this thing and as long as she
likes the person image it concerns, she doesn't mind it.
After that Sandy mentions her Speed 2 "crash"
and the movie salaries. She says that Julia Roberts
deserves those $20 million she gets for her movies. Sandy
herself doesn't feel like a sexsymbol or a woman "to
die for." And finally on what Sandy thinks about
Roger Corman's efforts to bring "Fire on the Amazon"
to the big screen: Well, she really DOES like the idea!
Wow! There are also some cool pictures in the magazine,
hope to add them soon.
2000-MAY-22:
This article from Austin360
says that some Austin drivers may be less inclined to
agree with the title of Sandra Bullock's new movie today,
when film crews move in to downtown and snarl traffic.
Crews for "Miss Congeniality" will be filming
before dawn, through morning rush hour and during the day
until at least 4 p.m. In the process, they'll be closing
a block of 7th Street between Colorado Street and
Congress Avenue and the parking lanes on the south side
of 6th Street between Brazos Street and San Jacinto
Boulevard. On Congress Avenue, between 5th and 7th
streets, shooting will wipe out all parking spots and
force closure of one lane in each direction.
2000-MAY-18:
USA
Today: Author Robert Crais has sold the film rights
for his book "Demolition Angel" to Columbia/TriStar.
While the film has yet to be cast, Crais says he can
picture Sandra Bullock, Jodie Foster or Helen Hunt
playing Carol Starkey (LAPD detective who was critically
injured trying to defuse a bomb. Her partner and lover
was killed, and Starkey was horribly disfigured in the
blast. After two months in the hospital and numerous
reconstructive surgeries, her emotional health is still
in ruins. She drinks and smokes too much, pops Tagamet
like candy. She has no social life. Still yearning to
regain her place on the bomb squad, Starkey investigates
a blast that killed a cop). In his book, Crais profiles a
doggedly determined woman with undaunted courage who
wants nothing more than to regain her spirit and her job.
Well, I think Sandy would be great in this role.
2000-MAY-12:
Reuters - Did you ever wonder who you would
like, if you could, to do a love scene with? Well, asked
which actor or actress they would most like to do a movie
love scene with, it turns out one particular actress
stands out in the fantasy lives of Americans, according
to a new Zogby America poll. And no, it's not Sandra
Bullock. The May survey of 1,013 adults nationwide showed
that of the more than 200 choices given, 17.3% of the
respondents chose Julia Roberts as the actress they would
most want to be in a love scene with. However, there's no
reason to feel sad because our cute Sandy Bullock was the
runner up choice among actresses (with 4.8%), followed by
Sophia Loren and Demi Moore. The second place is awesome
too, isn't it?
2000-MAY-10:
This is really funny. The website of the Blockbuster
Awards says that the awards show already took place
yesterday in Los Angeles. So it seems like the event
which will be aired June 20, 2000 on Fox is not a live
feature. It all would be absolutely alright I guess, but
I don't really get one thing - why the **** have they
already disclosed the results of all events and announced
all winners on their website? I really wonder who is now
ever going to watch the show. Well, if you really want to
know if Sandy did or did not win in the category "Favorite
Actress in a Comedy/Romance" you have to find out
yourself. I won't tell you. :-) But keep in mind, this
information is a spoiler. Hahaha, does anybody care? :-)
2000-MAY-09:
Reuters - It's finally here! Sandra's movie
"28 Days" (the recovering alcoholic saga from
rehab center) is now playing in theaters across Europe!
You can catch it in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the
film will come out in another countries very soon! As for
the results from playing in Germany, "28 Days"
earned $898,000 and took No. 1 slot. Absolutely great!!!
2000-MAY-05:
"28 Days" goes German! Yeah, if you live in
Europe and can't wait until the movie comes out, looking
for news everywhere but your English is not very good to
read more info at the official website, I got great news
for you! "28 Days" has an official website also in
German language! The page is called "28 Tage"
and has really good information about the film. Enjoy it
and don't forget to go to see the movie!

Do you remember the link to Heidi's mailbox I had on my
site a few days ago? Well, if you took the chance and
mailed her your condolences for Sandy and her family (Sandra's
mother Helga died of cancer on April 4, 2000), now you
can read all messages on Heidi's
website. She created a really nice page where she put
all sympathies and greetings from fans. You can also take
a look at a really beautiful picture of the cover she
used for her book. Big thanks to everyone for your
support and happy reading!!!

Reuters - More news on "Miss Congeniality"
casting... The project is finally getting shape and it's
only a few days until the start of its production.
Benjamin Bratt is set to star opposite Sandra Bullock in
this Donald Petrie's movie for Castle Rock Entertainment
and Warner Bros. Bullock portrays a rookie FBI agent who
goes undercover at a beauty pageant that is threatened by
a terrorist. Bratt will portray Bullock's partner.
Production begins this Tuesday (May 2, 2000) in Austin,
Texas.
2000-APR-27:
Here's the interview with Sandra Bullock from the Women.com
website. She talks about fame, family and her new take on
her body and Hollywood. Sandy also mentions the movie
"28 Days" (as usual in these days), how her
father and sister help her with the production company
Fortis Films and what she is most and least proud of in
her life:
"[On the things she is most proud of]
Maintaining the friendships that I've kept, because I've
had them for a long, long time. And being able to
prioritize for my family and friends..."
2000-APR-20:
Reuters - William Shatner will play a beauty
pageant host/loose cannon in "Miss Congeniality,"
which stars Sandra Bullock. The picture concerns an FBI
agent (Bullock) who must infiltrate the Miss Liberty
pageant as Miss New Jersey in order to defuse the threat
from a potential terrorist. Shatner will play the
pageant's longtime emcee who has been told that this will
be his last year to host the event. Also joining the cast
is Jennifer Gareis as the real Miss New Jersey who
Bullock must push out of the way, Wendy Raquel Robinson
as Miss California and Diedre Quinn as Miss Texas. The
Castle Rock Entertainment project is scheduled to go
before cameras next month.
2000-APR-18:
New
York Post: This time Sandra's movie didn't top the U.S.
box office list. "Rules of Engagement" edged
out the new Sandra Bullock drama "28 Days" for
the No. 1 slot at North American movie theaters,
according to studio estimates issued. "Rules" (Paramount
Pictures), a military legal drama starring Tommy L. Jones
and Samuel L. Jackson, pulled in about $10.9 million for
the Friday-to-Sunday period. "28 Days" earned
about $10.4 million.
2000-APR-16:
Dish Magazine has a
really nice article. It might have been called "Everything
You Wanted to Know About Sandra Bullock but Were Afraid
to Ask" since it covers the main milestones of
Sandra's career, movies, her likes/dislikes and many
other facts from her past. The article contains also the
quotes of people who met or worked with Sandy (actors,
directors) as well as quotes of Sandra herself. If you
always wanted to know what other people think about Sandy
and what she says about herself and her production
company (Fortis Films), here's your chance to find out.

Washington
Post: Did you ever wonder what kinds of things and
performances actors have to do while making a movie?
Sometimes it might really look like a real horror to us -
simple people of the audience. This article says that
Sandra Bullock had to "perform" one of those
well-known and really embarrassing situations - throwing
up - when working on the movie "28 Days" (which
is now playing across the USA). She practiced vomiting to
prepare for her role as a druggie. Here's what Sandy told
to US Weekly:
"I am good at throwing up. And it is so
underrated these days. People don't know how difficult it
is to vomit on cue each and every time with the same
sounds."
2000-APR-14:
Oh, yeah! Today is that big day - the day of a new
Sandra's movie currently playing in all theaters across
the USA. I'm sure you know which movie I'm talking about
- it's "28 Days" - the story of a big-city
newspaper columnist (Sandra Bullock) who is forced to
enter a drug and alcohol rehab center after stealing a
limousine and crashing it into a house. Some people say
that this is the best role Sandy has ever played in her
life. So, don't even think about missing this movie! This
one is something really special! To make it easier for
you, here are some reviews I found on the web. This time
it's a very nice collection of 22 (!) reviews from
various sources. Well, enjoy!!!

For all of you outthere who still don't have enough of

2000-APR-09:
Calgary
Sun has another nice interview with Sandra Bullock.
This time it is focused on Sandy's personality and her
always-present kindness. At first she talks about "28
Days" and how the life goes on in rehab center (even
some new facts, not mentioned in previous interviews).
Next part concerns Sandra's behavior, attitudes to work,
parties, relationships and having kids. And finally,
Sandra yet reveals some information from making of her
next film "Miss Congeniality" (coming out in
December 2000).
2000-APR-07:
This article by Jamie Portman of The
Ottawa Citizen is actually an interview with Sandra
Bullock about her new movie "28 Days" (coming
soon into the theaters). Sandy talks about alcohol
problems, about the people she met in rehab center and
describes the feeling of being there - the feeling of
being unwanted. The article is really interesting, near
the end there are also some attitudes of others of the
movie crew and explanation of why Sandra's presence in
the film was so crucial to getting it made. Here's how
Sandy felt in rehab:
"I could have gone a different route and just
taken notes, but I didn't want to just take notes. I
walked into that room, and I've never been so
uncomfortable in my life. The counsellor opened the door
and pushed me in. There were people in this circle ...
and no one liked me. No one was there to support me. ...
Everyone was as honest as you could get. I've never felt
so naked in my entire life."

Oh, my God!!! This news is certainly the most difficult
one I ever had to type on my keyboard. The keystrokes
don't come out easy since my hands are being ridden by
feelings and emotions. I'm sorry for being so sentimental
but that's how I feel right now... Ok, now to the really
sad news from E!
Online. It says that the opera singer Helga Meyer, 63
years, Sandra's mother, died on last Tuesday in the
United States after a long and serious ilness (so all
those gossips were true). For that reason, Sandra is not
going on this Thursday to the preview of her new film
"28 Days." Yet we haven't even recovered from
the news on Sandra's serious brain illness and now this!
All I can say in these hard times: Sandra, please, accept
my sincere condolences! All fans from all over the world
are now with you and your family!!!
PRNewswire - Several of the movies nominated
this year for the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards
feature pairings of today's hot actors and actresses, so
blockbuster.com conducted an online survey to find out
which couple was the fan favorite. Visitors to the
Blockbuster Entertainment Awards web page at blockbuster.com
were asked which of 1999's romantic duos had the best on-screen
chemistry. Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck ("Forces
of Nature") are in the 5th place on the list with 11
percent.
2000-APR-04:
Finally, here's the full article from National
Enquirer about Sandra's brain ilness. It says that
Sandy is seeing two top neurologists, has undergone a
battery of tests - and still hasn't discovered what's
causing her devastating headaches. Her troubles began in
January when she was snowboarding in Sun Valley, Idaho,
and took a spill that ended with her hitting her head
hard. Soon afterward the brain-splitting headaches began.
According to her physicians, Sandra's condition could be
anything from a migraine problem to a tear in an artery -
which could trigger a deadly stroke. Oh, my goodness!
Sandy, all fans think of you!!! GET WELL SOON!!!
2000-APR-02:
With the release date of "28 Days" getting
closer and closer, the articles promoting the movie are
starting to increase in number. Los Angeles Times has a
couple interviews with Betty Thomas (film director) and
Susannah Grant (film screenwriter). I hope there will be
also interviews with Sandra Bullock popping up pretty
soon since they are those we can't wait for. "28
Days" comes into the U.S. theaters on April 14, 2000!
