1. John¹ Kincaid was born Fincastle, Cambell County, Tennessee March 25, 1802. John died March 25, 1899 Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, at 97 years of age.

He married twice. He married Jane Smith Jan. 6, 1824. Jane was born Russell, Virginia Dec. 25, 1802. Jane died May 2, 1834 Cambell County, Tennessee, at 31 years of age. At 23 years of age Jane became the mother of Harvey Cowan Kincaid Cambell, Tennessee, April 12, 1826. He married Elizabeth B. Moss abt. 1836. Elizabeth was born Nov. 22, 1814. Elizabeth died Nov. 9, 1856 Fincastle, Cambell County, Tennessee. At 22 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Olivia Moss Kincaid April 22, 1837. Elizabeth became the mother of Marcillus Moss Kincaid abt. 1839. At 26 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Sophia Word Kincaid Cambell County, Tennessee, Dec. 4, 1840. At 30 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Alvis Clay Kincaid Tennessee, April 17, 1845. At 31 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Helen Kincaid Tennessee, 1846. At 33 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Annie Jane Kincaid Tennessee, 1848. At 36 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Mossie Kincaid Tennessee, March 28, 1851. At 39 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of William H. Sneed Kincaid Tennessee, 1854.

At 24 years of age John became the father of Harvey Cowan Kincaid Cambell, Tennessee, April 12, 1826. At 35 years of age John became the father of Olivia Moss Kincaid April 22, 1837. John became the father of Marcillus Moss Kincaid abt. 1839. At 38 years of age John became the father of Sophia Word Kincaid Cambell County, Tennessee, Dec. 4, 1840. At 43 years of age John became the father of Alvis Clay Kincaid Tennessee, April 17, 1845. At 44 years of age John became the father of Helen Kincaid Tennessee, 1846. At 46 years of age John became the father of Annie Jane Kincaid Tennessee, 1848. At 49 years of age John became the father of Mossie Kincaid Tennessee, March 28, 1851. At 52 years of age John became the father of William H. Sneed Kincaid Tennessee, 1854.

John Kincaid and Jane Smith had the following child:

John Kincaid and Elizabeth B. Moss had the following children:

3 ii. Olivia Moss Kincaid was born April 22, 1837. Olivia died April 1, 1906 at 68 years of age. She married Joshua B. Little Cambell County, Tennessee, Sept. 26, 1854. + 4 iii. Marcillus Moss Kincaid was born abt. 1839.

5 iv. Sophia Word Kincaid was born Cambell County, Tennessee Dec. 4, 1840. Sophia died Dec. 20, 1900 at 60 years of age. She married Horace H. Smith Cambell County, Tennessee, Feb. 4, 1858. Horace was born Jan. 27, 1833. Horace died April 18, 1913 at 80 years of age. (See Horace H. Smith for the continuation of this line.)

+ 6 v. Alvis Clay Kincaid was born April 17, 1845.

7 vi. Helen Kincaid was born Tennessee 1846. Helen died 1879 at 33 years of age. She married Henry H. Sutton. Henry was born 1843. At 28 years of age Henry became the father of Eleanora Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1871. At 32 years of age Henry became the father of William H. Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1875. At 33 years of age Henry became the father of Ellen Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1876. At 35 years of age Henry became the father of John R. Sutton Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1878. At 25 years of age Helen became the mother of Eleanora Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1871. At 29 years of age Helen became the mother of William H. Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1875. At 30 years of age Helen became the mother of Ellen Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1876. At 32 years of age Helen became the mother of John R. Sutton Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1878. At 33 years of age Helen became the mother of Marsha Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1879.

8 vii. Annie Jane Kincaid was born Tennessee 1848. Annie died 1860.

9 viii. Mossie Kincaid was born Tennessee March 28, 1851. Mossie died Aug. 20, 1913 Fincastle, Cambell County, Tennessee, at 62 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Aug. 20, 1913 Fincastle, Cambell County, Tennessee, United Methodist Church Cemetery. She married Andrew Davidson Woodson abt. 1862. Andrew was born Gibson Station, Lee County, Virginia Nov. 13, 1843. Andrew was the son of William M. Woodson and Anne Pebley. Andrew died May 13, 1913 Fincastle, Cambell County, Tennessee, at 69 years of age. At 25 years of age Andrew became the father of David Young Woodson Nov. 25, 1868. At 25 years of age Andrew became the father of Hettie Woodson 1869. At 28 years of age Andrew became the father of Laura Woodson Cambell County, Tennessee, 1872. At 30 years of age Andrew became the father of Willie Belle Woodson 1874. At 32 years of age Andrew became the father of John William Woodson Cambell County, Tennessee, Jan. 10, 1876. At 33 years of age Andrew became the father of Charles Fredrick Woodson 1877. At 37 years of age Andrew became the father of Joseph Overton Woodson Cambell County, Tennessee, 1881.
