He married Helen Kincaid. Helen was born Tennessee 1846. Helen was the daughter of John Kincaid and Elizabeth B. Moss. Helen died 1879 at 33 years of age. At 25 years of age Helen became the mother of Eleanora Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1871. At 29 years of age Helen became the mother of William H. Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1875. At 30 years of age Helen became the mother of Ellen Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1876. At 32 years of age Helen became the mother of John R. Sutton Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1878. At 33 years of age Helen became the mother of Marsha Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1879.

At 28 years of age Henry became the father of Eleanora Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1871. At 32 years of age Henry became the father of William H. Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1875. At 33 years of age Henry became the father of Ellen Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1876. At 35 years of age Henry became the father of John R. Sutton Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1878. At 36 years of age Henry became the father of Marsha Sutton Cambell County, Tennessee, 1879.

Henry H. Sutton and Helen Kincaid had the following children:
