John Francis Warn and O’Tillie Marie

This is a 1922 Maxwell. Mel remembers it as a littl kid and when Carrol and Norman were in high school, his Dad gave it to them. The made it into a pickup and it was used by Emil for a work car until well after the war. Mel said one time after he parked it in front of someone's house near where he was working on another house. He found a note on it asking him not to park such a thing infront of their house again. It must have been pretty run down by then. He drove his big Buick the next day.

Tillie and some friends on Cottonwood Creek, Calif., near Olinda.

Can you believe they washed dishes like this?  They must have been camping, but dressed like this?

Ida Charity David (Dolly) and Tillie

Dolly is Amos’ wife.  She and Tillie were close friends.

Mathea holding Mel Warn

This photo must have been taken in 1933 as that was the year Mel was born.
