Dominic
Vezza
1913-1998
The
fourth branch is Dominic (Dick), born December 15, 1913 in NYC, soon
after the family moved to Union City. A standout high school
football player and family troublemaker he, like his brother Jim he serves
in WWII. After his tour of duty he returned home and married
Dolly Aiello in 1946.
Some years after college he finds the corporate world not
to his liking and begins his own business which leaves
him quite comfortable in his retiring years. He and Dolly, his wife of over 50
years, make 6th street in Union City their life-long residence...directly across the street from the house where Dominic lived as a child. In the early morning hours of May 3, 1998 Dominic left us with memories and stories that will take a lifetime to recall.
Dominic and Dolly's
two branches are Richard and Anne. In 1978 Rich married Arlene and
they have two children, Rebecca and Daniel. Arlene
is currently a teacher in a local school district while Rich spends
his time between golfing, fishing and publishing newspapers.
Anne,
after achieving her Phd, relocated to Alabama where she was working as a research
microbiologist as well as continuing her piano studies after a 25 year
layoff. Happily, she recently moved back home to New Jersey.
