Agua Dulce Baptist Church
Hey! Starting 06/03/01, we are going to try going back to one service in the mornings on Sunday. Bible study will still be at 9:30, but the only service will be at 10:30. This is a trial to see if it will work, but if you see one family turn and go because there wasn't enoough room, feel free to tell the Deacons, Bro. Larry or Bro. Hayden, and they will consider changing back.
Camp is starting at Zephyr. The Youth camp going to run from July 16 through July 20, and if you have finished 6th grade, but have not yet graduated high school, you're more than welcome. The theme for this camp is "Truth." Forms are available from ADBC.  The cost $100.00 if you wait until June 1st, $110.00 if you have it in by June 20th, and $120.00 after that. You can reserve a spot with a non refundable deposit of $25.00. Do it, Camp Rocks. Oh, and the pre teen camp is going to be from June 27th through the 30th. The cost of this one is a mere $87.00 if you register by 06/06/01, and $97.00 after that, along with the $25.00 non refundable deposit. Turn all registration forms and money in to Hayden, or I suppose that Joy would be more than happy to sign you up in the church office
Sponsors are needed for both of these camps. (No not money sponsors, people to go and keep an eye on the kids, supervise, mentor, disciple, etc, there may even be a couple skinned knees to heal too.) Please, if you can, go as a sponsor. There is hardly anything more fulfilling than having a child ask you to walk the isle with them so they can ask for Salvation.
If you know Hayden you probably know he's back at ADBC. If you don't know him, you need to introduce yourself to him. He is a special kinda guy, and a great person. He will be assuming the duties of Assistant Pastor and has a BIG place in his heart for the youth. Come by and say hi!
ADBC's vacation bible school will be from June 12 through the 15th. We need some of you energetic youth (kids) to help. It's fun, and a really neat way to stay active in the summer. Make a difference in a little persons' life. Contact Hayden or Kandy Hall
We will be going on the second portion of our mission trip to Miguel Aleman in July. Last time we went (On March 31st) we all had a great time. Some of us stayed at the church in Miguel Aleman and had about 80 kids (not a misprint, 80) come and play football, volleyball, hula hoop, color, get their faces painted, and learn about the Lord. A few of us also went to the church in Guerrero to kinda clean the place up and plant a few flower beds. Ask about the before and after pictures, they will amaze you. Oh, and while you're looking at the pictures, ask about how you can help out on the next trip. It will be a summer vacation Bible School kinda thing, and even if you can't say si' or como esta usted, you can go and help and feel very, very blessed.
Let's see, a few quickies-----TEENS!!! If you haven't signed up for the Hours of Labor sale, you better hurry-This is a GREAT way to raise money for trips that you and your friends want to go on. ADULTS!!!!! The Hours of Labor Sale is a fundraiser in which the youth will come to your house, place of business, or where ever and do chores for you....You need to pay them $10.00 per hour, but it is well worth it, cause the neighbors wonder what in the world is going on when they see it. Youth beach trip 06/02/01- I'll keep you pposted on the condition of the sunburns....
I had a friend of mine send this too me in a forwarded e-mail. She doesn't usually do that, but in this case I'm glad she did. I wish ALL political Leaders would at least read this.....

Subject: Prayer for Senate

Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in  Kansas at the
opening session of their Senate.
It  seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was
asked to  open the new session of the Kansas  Senate, everyone was expecting
the usual generalities,  but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, we come  before you today to your forgiveness and to seek
your direction and guidance. We know  Your Word says, "Woe to those who call
evil good", but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We confess
that.
We have ridiculed the absolute truth  of Your Word and  called it Pluralism.
We have exploited the poor and called  it the lottery,
We have rewarded laziness and called it  welfare,
We have killed our unborn and called it choice,
We have shot abortionists  and called it justifiable,
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building
self-esteem,
We have abused power and called it  politics,
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called  it  ambition,
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called  it
freedom of statement,
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and  know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin
and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent: to
direct us to the center of  Your will and to openly ask these things in the
name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen!"

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the
prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev.
Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone  calls with only 47 of those
calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international
requests for copies of this prayer  from India, Africa, and Korea.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on  his radio program, "The Rest
of the Story", and received a larger response  to this program than any
other he has ever aired.
With the  Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our  nation and
wholeheartedly become our  desire so that we again can be called "one nation
under God".
If possible,  please pass this prayer on to your friends. "If you don't
stand for Him, you stand against Him. If you don't stand for something,
you'll fall  for everything."
