Accelerated Reader is a computerized program used by all Ridgecrest students. AR tracks the books that students have read and taken a test on. There are a variety of tests at different reading levels. The more difficult the book and test, the more points the student earns.

Books in the library that are on the list are marked with an AR symbol. Reading level and points are on a label inside the front cover. After a student reads a book on the AR list, they can take a computerized multiple-choice test on a computer in their classroom, in the library, or in the computer lab.
