My story on Collecting
I think it all started ever since my Mom had purchased a Coca-Cola straw dispencer. As soon as I saw it I thought it was neat and put it on my shelf to collect dust. My Mom to this day still argues that the dispencer is hers, I disagree. One day at my friends house I had one I game of tennis against him, the thing is we bet money on that game (Thats just between you and me), Unfortunatly for my friend, and luckly for me, I had one the game and since he couldn't afford to pay me the cash, he gave an antique Coca-Cola bottle. I accepected thinking it would look neat beside the dispencer. The same day as the tennis game, my friend was having the Mike Tyson return boxing party, my friend had about 4 cases of the old Cherry Coke Cans which he was giving out, I drank about 5, and took home 3, of which was also put beside the dispencer, bottle. My Mom saw my collection starting to grow, so since then every holiday my Mom would give to me a gift of which had to have been Coca-Cola, whether it would be a Christmas ordinmant, a 1/18th scale die cast metal car (I have 2), magnets, glasses, etc. I it all came together, and all grew into my current Coca-Cola collection.
Then, in the summer of 1998, I had started buying my own Coca-Cola items, mostly Cans and bottles. Till Christmas, 1998, I had 12 cans, and 4 bottles. I liked the cans and bottles, since because ever since the collection was growing, I was collecting items of which were used of advertisement, but then I thought, my collection needs some of what Coca-Cola is advertising.
That brings us to March of 1999, when I started my trek to collect as many cans and bottles from around the world.
If you are not a collector, and your reading this page, hopefully it has givin you some motivation.
