I trade with
traders of all nationalities and with extremely diverse
interests and trading backgrounds. These guidelines help
constitute a 'meeting of the minds' and attempt to ensure both
parties will be happy with the results.
[FACTOID: I
traded with 429 different traders between 3/98 and 7/01,
this is an average of a trade with a new trader every 2.89 days]
(all of these
guidelines are here because of problems with one or more
traders)
Trades
To ensure maximum enjoyment from a
perspective trade,
Please contact me for a trade if ...
1) you have anything listed at the bottom of my lists in the
'Looking For..." sections, or
2) you have any good quality (or better) rare 60's and 70's
shows (I like all sorts of stuff), or.
3) you are a kind, honest, and knowledgeable person looking for
others to trade with on a regular basis, or
4) your list is detailed (like mine) or your collection is
diverse. The more detailed your source info, the greater
my interest in trading.
... then email
your link or .txt list to me.
Please do not contact me for a trade if ...
1) you cannot mail your end of the agreement within 2 weeks
(or tell my why). I will do the same.
2) you are going to wait until I mail first. If I contact
you to initiate a trade, I have no problem with mailing first.
If you don't trust me, don't ask me to trade.
3) you are not willing to replace any faulty media (i.e. digital
noise, pops & clicks, TAO, scratched or flawed media) - the
sheer volume of my collection forces me to be very picky about
sound quality, if it isn't great please warn me ahead of
time.
Mailing
Trades:
-use padded (non
fiber-filled) envelope or box.
-use tape (not staples) - I recycle and it is literally a
pain (for my hands) to remove each staple.
-first class or priority mail
Sales:
NO SALES - DON'T ASK.
CD
Trades:
-ALWAYS
COPY USING DAO (NOT TAO - stopping and restarting the
laser - this adds 2 second gaps). Also, I don't want DAO
copies of TAO discs, nor do I want "repaired" TAO
shows.
-DO
NOT WRITE on
the CDR that you are sending me.
DO
NOT SEND ME: MAXELL
or MEMOREX
(gold)
cdr's!
I continually
experience extractions problems (and short lifespans) with
these.
It
is easier for me to clone CDR->CDR than is DAT->CDR, so
please check my CDR
List.
Please, check with me if your CDR trade will require conversion
from DAT.
Because of the current arrangement of my collection, I may not
be able to fulfill your request.
.
I am
currently pursuing additional certification, so my trading
turn-around time has been significantly delayed.

DAT
Trades:
DAT Tradin' Guidelines:
DAT Brands:
-NO
UNLABELED TAPES W/O FIRST ASKING ME!
(these are the tapes that give me the most trouble)
-SONY, FUJI, MAXELL (labeled only) or
audio DATs ONLY
Deck Issues
-PLEASE make sure the tape
has ABS time.
-Leave 1 minute blank space at beginning
of each tape (WHY? Because errors occur most frequently at the
very beginning and end on a DAT cassette)
Trade Issues:
-I include J-cards, I would appreciate J-cards if you can
as this makes it much easier for me.
If you do not include
j-cards, please include the following info (via paper or a
label) on the cassette (not a pen): Band, Date, source info, and
setlist.
-Please let me know PRIOR to sending if a tape I have requested
has drop-outs or digital noise and I will do the same for
you. I will re-clone any DATs that have digital noise and
I expect the same in return.
