1. John¹ Maynard was born May 3, 1816. John died Feb. 3, 1900 at 83 years of age.

He married Persis Murray Stockholm, St. Lawrence County, New York, March 15, 1840. Persis was born Stockholm, St. Lawrence County, New York Nov. 30, 1819. Persis was the daughter of Manus Murray and Betsy Ferris. At 21 years of age Persis became the mother of George Elbert Maynard Jan. 25, 1841. At 31 years of age Persis became the mother of John Edgar Maynard May 3, 1851. At 35 years of age Persis became the mother of Marshall Warren Maynard Jan. 19, 1855.

At 24 years of age John became the father of George Elbert Maynard Jan. 25, 1841. At 35 years of age John became the father of John Edgar Maynard May 3, 1851. At 38 years of age John became the father of Marshall Warren Maynard Jan. 19, 1855.

John Maynard and Persis Murray had the following children:

3 ii. John Edgar Maynard was born May 3, 1851.

4 iii. Marshall Warren Maynard was born Jan. 19, 1855.
