Feb. 18, 1934 Shiloh, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, Halsell Cemetery. William became the father of Mattie Mathis Pontotoc, Pontotoc County, Mississippi. William became the father of Hobart Ann Mathis abt. 1868. At 30 years of age William became the father of Amanda Bell Mathis Chickasaw County, Mississippi, March 10, 1873. At 33 years of age William became the father of David Mathis May 7, 1875. At 35 years of age William became the father of Hassie Mathis May 27, 1877. At 36 years of age William became the father of William Whitfield Mathis Pontotoc, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, March 1879. At 39 years of age William became the father of Earl Elmo Mathis Pontotoc, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, Feb. 27, 1882. At 41 years of age William became the father of Jimmy D. Mathis Redland, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, Feb. 22, 1884. At 45 years of age William became the father of Plummer Mathis Mississippi, March 28, 1888. At 52 years of age William became the father of Dollie Mathis Nov. 22, 1894. At 52 years of age William became the father of A. J. Mathis March 10, 1895.
