This was done from a picture of a long-needled pine growing out of a knot at the base of an oak tree in my back yard. I changed the color on the picture itself, to increase the depth of color - did a little deformation - and a hot wax application. The Stand was made from two corners, colorized and hot waxed. I'm sure you can tell, from the original that the basic texture was built in. :-)
The Original Picture
The Gardenia
This was more difficult - had to create the texture for the egg. The Gardenia is from my yard. I built the shape of the egg applied the color, then Gaussian Blur - Sharpened - Enhanced - Hot Waxed - Adjusted Hue and Adjusted Brighteness and Contrast. The Gardenia was done seperately - Deformation - Sharpened - Hot Waxed and Adjusted Brightness. Again the Stand was made from Corners and Colorized, then Hot Waxed. Many Layers.
The Original Picture
The Pirates Egg
This Egg was the result of Wet 33. The Egg Shell is a sunset picture, taken in St Thomas VI, the inside of the egg is also a picture of the Virgin Islands surrounding St Thomas. That one was the background used for Wet 33, all of the things added were Sharpened - Enhanced - Hot Waxed - Hue Adjusted and Brighteness and Contrast Adjusted. Each item was worked seperately and added to the background in layers. Many Layers.
