 SUBJECT:  Commendation.

  TO:            Cpl. Poerio, Joseph, 33 699 114, Battery A, 137th AAA Gun Bn.

         1.  During the firing at Topsail Range, 24 July 1944,your Gun #2 established a Battery Record for the rate of fire (5 rounds in 6 sec.).

          2.  Making such a record shows that your Gun Section is working in complete cooperation with one another.  It is very gratifying to me, personally to see that your Gun Section has attained such a high state of efficiency and morale, and it is my wish that you express my sincere appreciation first to Pfc Beaumont, Eugene, 42 021 822, and to Pvt Riccio, Ralph 32 994 853, loader and gunner, respectively, on Gun No. 2, who are key men on record firing, and also to the following members of your Section.
