My name is Kathy and I have operated a licensed group daycare business in my home for over 3 years now. I chose to open a daycare because I love children, and I was tired of knowing that my children I was not there half of the time for my own children. I am currently licensed for 11 children, including my infant son.

     I have 1100 square feet of room for the children in my care. We have a structured schedule that includes snacks and meals, nap time and activities. I am licensed by the Department of Family Services and am on a food program offered through Children's Nutrition Services.

     I am very active in our community and helping make it a better place for our children. I belong to the United States Chamber of Commerce, where I serve as an officer for the Wyoming Jaycees. I am also very active with the Worland Jaycees who are also striving to make a difference. I am also founding member of the Washakie County Childcare Association.

     My husband and I have three beautiful children. Jake is 12, Samantha is 9 and Kristopher will be 1 on July 15th. We have a 2 year old black lab named Bandit that thinks she is one of the kids, and we just added a 3 year old cat from the Humane Society name Oscar. The kids think he is the coolest.

     I think my biggest joy of childcare is when a child wants to stay with me at the end of the day because they love it here so much! It makes all the bad hair days go right away!!!
