This is the FAMILY of My Grandfather, John Webb McGUIRE's Mother,Mary Jane (CLANTON) McGUIRE. She was born September 01, 1833, in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. She married, John White McGUIRE of Williamson Co. Tennessee, on January 09,1857. Her Father and only brother, died of Typhoid Feavor, when the brohter, John CLANTON, was young. She had two sisters, Ann and Martha. I understood my Grandfather to say Mary Jane's Mother was Mary Jane Mallard. Yet I Can Not find proof of this. I do see in the 1850 Census of Tenn., where a Sarah CLANTON, is head of household, I believe the Only CLANTON household left in Rutherford Co., Tennessee in 1850. In her household are Mary Jane (as Jane C.), and her two sisters. I'm going to list some "random" Census my Daughter and I have found on the CLANTON Family, I hope to put it all in better order later.
