TRUE COMFORT AND PEACE
THAT COMES FROM
JESUS CHRIST

I HAD WRITTEN THIS PAGE FOR SHARING WITH MY GRANDMOTHER WHEN SHE WAS 98 YEARS OLD. SHE LOVED THE LORD JESUS BUT LIKE MOST OF US DID NOT KNOW ALL THE DIFFERENT SCRIPTURES ABOUT OUR LIFE WITH JESUS AFTER WE DIE. WHAT A BLESSING FOR US THAT JESUS NOT ONLY SHARES HOW WE ARE TO LIVE NOW, BUT ALSO TELLS US WHAT OUR FUTURE WITH HIM WILL BE.

When we first accept Jesus into our hearts, we are unsure of what we have truly done. We soon come to relying on the fact, that the scriptures are true and from God. For God tells us that if we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead we shall be saved.

(Rom 10:9-10 KJV) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Remember the time you prayed the prayer of faith ? This is what the first verse meant. You said, “Forgive me Jesus for I have sinned, I accept you as my Lord and Savior.” At that point you were written into the Book of Life. Such a simple prayer, yet so hard for so many to say.

(Phil 4:3 KJV) “And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.”

And all your sins were taken and according to: (Psa 103:11-12 KJV) “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

Now when we pull a sin back from the past, it is not the Lord condemning us, rather it is the devil trying to fool us into thinking we are worthless and sinners. But as far as the Lord is concerned, He does not understand what we are talking about. How can we ask Him to forgive us for something we already confessed and He has already forgiven? There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

(Ephesians 1:7-8 KJV) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;”

(Rom 10:11-13 KJV) “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

We have called upon the name of the Lord and therefore shall be saved. Not for anything we have done, but for His dying on the cross and having taken all our sins and carried them into the grave. Whereby He arose victorious and the devil can stand and accuse us all day long. The Lord will just say, “Begone Satan for I have paid the price , they are clean and they are mine.”

Now when we die His word also tells us what will happen, nothing is hid from us.

(John 6:39-40 KJV) And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

(John 14:2-3 KJV) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(1 Th 4:13-18 KJV) “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Those who are asleep in Christ, not in limbo somewhere, are in His Presence. Not paying for sins committed, for Jesus paid the price fully, completely and forever.

(1 Th 5:9-10 KJV) “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.”

Whether we wake or sleep, we are with the Lord. So those who have died in Christ
are with Him now. And those of us who are alive and remain shall also go to be with the Lord, at
His Coming in Glory where every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that

Jesus Christ is Lord.

Remember the one who hung on the cross next to Jesus, the Lord told him, "Today you will be with me in paradise." And Paul tells us that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." 2Cor. 5:8. In the final chapter of Ecclesiastes 12:7, King Solomon affirms the different destiny of the soul as opposed to the body. "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Praise the Lord.

Jesus has promised us a new life, and tells us all about it.

(Isa 11:4-5 KJV) “But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.”

Jesus will be just in His judgments.

(Isa 11:6-8 KJV) “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.”

We know this has never happened, it will be wonderful, especially for those of us who love animals.

(Isa 11:9 KJV) “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

There will be no more doubts or sins of unbelief when Jesus comes to reign. We will know He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He promises us a New Heavens and a New Earth. We should be very thankful for this. The way some of Revelations reads, there will not be much of an earth left when the Lord comes.

(Isa 65:17-25 KJV) “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”

MY GRANDMOTHER DIED ON SATURDAY MAY 2ND. WHAT A BLESSING THE LORD GAVE TO ME, THAT I WAS ABLE TO SHARE ALL OF THE ABOVE SCRIPTURES THE WEEKS PRECEDING HER DEATH. SHE ASKED ME ONCE,"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?" I TOLD HER, "OUT OF THE BIBLE." SHE WOULD REPLY, "WELL THAT IS SOMETHING YOU CAN REALLY HOLD ONTO." SHE WOULD CONTINUE WITH, "WE USED TO READ THE BIBLE ALL THE TIME WHEN I WAS A CHILD." "I DO NOT KNOW HOW COME WE STOPPED THE DAILY READING."

I HAD ASKED GRANDMA ONE DAY IF SHE KNEW IF SHE WAS WRITTEN INTO THE BOOK OF LIFE. SHE SAID SHE DID NOT KNOW. I TOLD HER WHAT THE SCRIPTURE IN ROMANS 10:9 SAYS, AND ASKED HER IF SHE WANTED TO SAY A SPECIAL PRAYER WITH ME. SHE SAID, "YES." WE PRAYED, "LORD JESUS, FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS, I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD AND I ACCEPT YOU INTO MY HEART AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR." SHE SAID IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PRAYER SHE HAS EVER SAID.

I CRIED TEARS OF JOY THEN AND NOW, FOR I MISS HER, SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND. I PRAY THAT ALL WILL UNDERSTAND THAT I DID NOT WANT HER TO CHANGE HER RELIGION OR STOP GOING TO HER OWN CHURCH. I JUST WANTED HER TO HAVE AS MUCH FULLNESS WITH JESUS THAT SHE COULD HAVE. KNOWING HIM IN A PERSONAL WAY DOES GIVE SUCH COMFORT. SHE DIED VERY PEACEFULLY IN HER SLEEP. WHAT A PRESENT THE LORD JESUS GAVE TO ME, BY LETTING US SHARE HIS LOVE TOGETHER. OUR GOD IS A REWARDER TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM.
