Origami is the Japaneese art of paper folding. It basically consists of folding paper into various shapes, without cutting or pasting. It originated in Japan very early, but it soon became famous around the world because of the simple reason, that this art is quite spontaneous. This means that no special equipment is required for this, and so can be caried out at any palce, and at any time. I am quite good in origami myself. Infact, I knew how to fold 365 pieces of origami by heart, when I was just 5 years old! For the same reason I came in a magazine called Junior news. Below are the steps of my favorite piece of origami. It's a bird. It's my favorite because, when you pull the head and tail, it flaps it's wings!
Try it for yourself! It's not so difficult. Even if you get stuck on any step, just fill out this form, and I'll reply to you personally about how to do the step! (Please note that all the instructions are not present as yet, I will put them on as soon as they are ready):

Step 1: Take a square piece of paper, and fold it diagonally, with the blank side facing upwards, as shown.

Step 2: Further fold this triangle in half, from the point to the middle of the base, to get another triangle.

Step 3: Insert your fingers between the two first layers of the paper. Then lift the point up, crease the top layer where shown......

Step 4: .....Flatten it out.....

Step 5: .....And you'll end up with some thing that looks like this. Turn this whole shape over, and repeat the same steps (Steps 3 to 5), on the other triangle, which is on the other side.

Step 6: Fold the first two inwards on the dotted lines shown. First both the sides, then the point over them. Crease them sharply, and then open them up again. Now open the shape. To do this, lift the first layer, and fold it backwards on the crease that is on the top righthand side of the picture. As you are doing this, flatten both the sides, recreasing the creases on both the sides that you have already made......

Step 7: .....You should end up with something that looks like this. Turn the shape over, and repeat the same step (Step 6), with the square on the other side.

If you have had any problem with any of the steps, just fill out this form, and I will reply to you personally about how to do that step!

I am sorry that I cannot provide you with the rest of the instructions right now, as I do not have the graphics ready as yet. Please do come back soon.
