(Note from the Webmaster: Wes Taylor of Kappa Gamma was elected to the office of Collegiate Province Representative for Province 33 at this most recent Province Workshop. Here, he gives us some of the highlights of that weekend.)![]() Among our guests was the National President of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Dr. Darhryl S. Ramsey. Along with Dr. Ramsey's "information gathering" breakout session, the brothers of Province 33 were able to learn more about continued fraternal education and filling out citation reports, as well as take part in a panel discussion on various fraternal issues with Dr. Ramsey and the Province 33 leadership. The major accomplishments of this year's workshop were the institution of a Province 33 Traveling Trophy, named "The Big Easy," and the continuation of a massive effort to rewrite the Province 33 Bylaws. With the reestablishment of the Province 33 Council, the future of province events and activities looks bright. The next Province 33 Workshop will take place January 3-5, 2003 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Macon, GA, during the Southeast Regional Workshop. Sinfonians from Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee will be joining us for what has traditionally been one of the most productive and attended regionals in the United States. Make plans now to attend. If you have questions about our past workshop, the upcoming regional workshop, or Province 33 in general, feel free to contact me at acpr33@sinfonia.org. I look forward to seeing both collegiate and alumni Sinfonians in Macon in 2003. Wesley J. Taylor, Kappa Gamma Assistant Collegiate Province Representative, Province 33 - 2001-2002 Collegiate Province Representative - elect, Province 33 - 2002-2003 | |
