I represent adult and juvenile clients in both federal and state courts on misdemeanor and felony charges. I am often able to negotiate an agreement with the prosecutor that protects the interests of my clients and avoids a criminal conviction and jail time.

I have successfully litigated cases from the state court level to the United States Supreme Court. I am fortunate to have been involved on several occasions with the litigation of significant constitutional issues in federal and state court. Many of these cases have been both worthwhile and fascinating.

Much of my criminal practice has civil aspects, such as forfeiture law or habeas corpus petitions; and I also have experience representing professionals facing disciplinary proceedings. I have also represented clients before administrative agencies on a variety of licensing issues.
