Doing RAAM is impossible without a crew. We may not have the oldest average crew age, or the most experience, but we've got a few people who are giving us 2 weeks of their summer to help us do this incredible race. Many thanks to them (they work just as hard as us).

Clayton Sandmel - Crew Captain. This is my dad, one of the two people who crewed for me in Race Across Oregon last year - my mom was the other person who did.

Werner Klee - RAAM would have been impossible without our German friend. He was Stephan Lau's crew chief until a day before the solo start and joined up with us in Portland. He holds the highest level of certification for a physical trainer in Germany and can make a mean bowl of oatmeal.

Adam Butts - This is one of my friends from high school who volunteered without me having to even ask. Adam is a Pisces who likes movies, books, and long walks on the beach. Adam is 6'1 and in somewhat good shape. If you'd like to contact Adam, you may do so at adambutts@yahoo.com. Adam is looking for a girl around 5'9 with blue or green eyes who has a passion for the Lord and loves to laugh. If you are this person, please contact him ASAP

Dolores Sandmel - This is my grandma, a retired nurse practitioner. I hope we won't need any serious medical attention... but just in case :)

Joe Flager - A 2002 graduate of Cascade High School, Joe is one of our latest additions to the crew. Werner coined the term "Joe Burgers" for the sandwiches Joe made. He's volunteered at mountain bike races in the past.

Jason Craig - Also a 2002 graduate of Cascade, Jason cannot be missed because of his red hair... you'll have to see it for yourself. He will soon be publishing the RAAM journal, a day by day account of our adventures, complete with person commentary :) Jason has also been a volunteer at races.
