Beth Sarim - House of the Princes |
Nestled away in a beautiful suburb of San Diego, California, is the Mansion built byJudge Rutherford and the Watchtower Bible & Tract
Society to house the "faithful worthies of old" as listed in Hebrews Chapter 11. |

This mansion was built in 1929 in expectation of these men of old being resurrected to this earth, not in the Middle East where they
died, but rather in sunny Calafornia! Their names were written into the deeds of the house inreadiness for their arrival. Strangely, their return had been prophesied by the Watchtower to take place in 1925.
By 1929 when this mansion was built, they still hadn't arrived! That didn't prevent the building of the house, nor did it prevent Judge Rutherford taking up residence in this luxurious abode whilst awaiting
them, and living there right up until his death. After that the Society quietly disposed of this monument to yet another embarrasing chapter in their history. |
