The sweet melody that clings to my heart
The powerful notes strike a place inside of me
A place rarely seen and long forgotten
My soul is revived and I am alive once more
The emotions brought forth
Pure like the innocence of a child
A love whole and complete

Alas this is no more
Nothing lasts forever
The melody remains
But the feelings have changed
The notes
Those powerful notes
Cling to whats left of my heart
Stripping away anything alive of me
They sting like bees 
Prick like thorns
Leaving me in agony
