SADD Presentation

The local Students Against Drinking and Driving group staged a mock accident with the help on the local ambulance and firefighting service.  It gave students an idea of what goes on at an accident scene and how long it really takes to extract a victim from a car.  The presentation was well received by the students of BCHS and St. Gabriel's.  Congratulations on a fine effort.

Sandra Schmirler (Grad '81), formerly of Biggar, and her curling team of Jan Betker, Joan McCusker, Marcia Gudereit, Atina Ford, and Coach Anita Ford captured the Gold medal in Nagano!  They are three time Canadian and World Curling Champions.  They will defend their Canadian title at the Scott Tournament of Hearts in Regina.  Sandra was an avid curler while attending BCHS.  She was a member of the 1981 senior girls provincial championship curling team.
