The issues involving HIV/AIDS have an impact on many aspects of our society. The overall affect has been one that at times promoted the fixing of 'blame' rather than of fixing the 'problem'. HIV and AIDS have had a tremendous affect on individual, societal, and world resources in many areas. Fixing 'blame', on the surface, may help to relieve some sense of fear, threat, or responsibilty. But, it serves to divide people. It is in fixing the "problem" that people can come together, on common ground, and without 'blaming or shaming', strive to improve/heal the, social and psychological 'dis-ease' this illness places on humankind while seeking a cure for the physical components of the disease process.
