CHILD ABUSE

This page is currently under construction. Maredcam staff will be providing links to legal, social, and psychological information sites concerning the topic of child abuse. Since one of our team members is a former Guardian ad Litem and Child Abuse Investigator, we would like to take the time to provide a thank you to all the volunteers and paid personnel who work diligently to protect children and to help those who have been abused heal. Breaking the cycle of child abuse is difficult, painful work and we applaud your efforts. After all, making a difference in one child's life or in the life patterns of one family is worth the effort.

On the other hand, there are also people who abuse the very systems designed to protect children. We will try to provide links that provide reliable information about these two aspects of child abuse. If you know of links you would like to see included, please e-mail Maredcam at the link below with information about the site.

Most of all, become involved. You can help make the difference in a child's life. There are numerous programs where volunteers can spend time with children. And, above all else, if you have reason to suspect child abuse has occurred, report it immediately.
