Arms open wide
Ready to receive
On a road
To somewhere
With nothing
In mind
Searching, seeking
Opening doors
Tramping on the
Innocent and weak
Treading the
Forgotten path
Ignoring your
Blood, your heart
Hurting, killing
Mindless stampedes
To get to the top
And falling down
The ladder
Taking whom you can
Hurting who you will.
It doesn't matter anymore
Minds are screwed
For an inch up that
Ladder
Huh ... you think
You've won
Yet there will always
Be another
To take your place.

We live today
In a world
Of desire
And material gain
When will we learn
To give is to get
To aide is to succeed
To climb is to fall

Light Seekers

Wailing, weeping,
Bustling people.
Smiling faces
Crying eyes.

Running forth
Away from pain,
Towards happiness
They profess to seek.

They run and hide
And seek the light
The darkness closes
The light diminishes.

Slaughter in the streets
Rampaging men
Looking for light
Where there is none.
