This page of mine is operated and maintained by me, KK Yu. The Detriot Shipyards began as a tinkering of mine, which eventually grew into this creation. This page is partly created in homage to the now discontinued page "This is How You Dance," or "The Ridiculously Complete Star Control Tactics Page." Also, since that page is no longer in progress, I thought the web needed another. Hence this site. The title: The Detroit Shipyards was mainly the influence of my fondness for the Earthling Cruiser. Yes, I think the Earthling is the best ship out there (except for my souped-up Precursor vessel, the Victory). You can criticize me, but I won't care.

Anyhoo, this page is based on the Star Control series of PC-games published by Accolade. The Star Control series was created by Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford. Its main conflict centers around The Alliance of Free Stars and The Ur-Quan Hierarchy. Star Control 3 was created by Legend Entertainment and is not even near as good as SC2. Learn more about the Star Control saga here.

At The Shipyards, you can find tactics for the melee part of the SC series, player tactics and comments, and more. We also have departing flights to any other SC node via the Starport. You can also learn more about the ships you pilot here, at the Ship Specifications Lab.

This page was designed with Webford 2.01 by Jonathan Walsh. It was tested with Netscape Navigator 4.05, and somewhat with Microsoft Internet Explorer. It should probably look the same in both.

Now, I give credit to where it is due:
Chad Derrenbacker's and Connor Kelley's source HTML. It is from studying their code that I learned how to make this frameless page that looks neat, too. Thanks a whole lot, guys!
Donald Davis for this background from your Stars! page a looong time back (1995?).
Alan Hong for introducing me to Star Control Universe via SC2 on the 3DO.
Fred Ford & Paul Reiche III for creating this great game, and to Accolade for publishing it.

Thanks for visiting!
