Below are few people who are involved greatly
in helping me develop and improving my style. It is by collecting
and observing their delicate work, is how my drawing skill is developed.
From them, among many others so many I can't remember anymore, I learned
the beauty, the magic and the passion of comic art.

ASMADI
Used to work for a children magazine
"Ananda"
around 1980's, his work is definitely the one which forms my basic style.
Many others would also be found on book stories for elementary school student
made around 1980's. |

|
TINO SIDIN
He used to host the TV show "Mari
Menggambar"
on Indonesian TV around 1980's. He teaches children on how to develop
their drawing skill, until passed away several years ago. |

HERGE
His "Tintin" series is published all around
the world and has been translated into many languages. He has my
highest appreciation on his style on drawing the beauty of nature. |

ALBERT UDERZO
How everyone could forget Asterix and his
fat (SHHH ... !!!) friend Obelix? Nothing more I could say of his
work except for one thing : Perfection. We can also observe more
of his style on another comic series : The Adventure of Tanguy and Laverdure
(early series), some stories about French pilot adventure in (I think)
1970's. Although Asmadi is the one who influence me heavily on my
basic, it is Uderzo who receive my highest appreciation. |

STAN LEE
'The Man' of Marvel Comics.
Enough said. |

|
GEORGE LUIZ & GARCIA LOPEZ
Around 1983, DC Comics and Marvel Comics
released their joint annual series : Batman vs. Hulk. I haven't been
successful in finding any other of their excellent works. |

|
|
|
|
GIORDANO
Another joint series of DC Comics and Marvel
Comics, Superman vs. Spiderman is surely one of the rarest thing in the
world, simply because Giordano is the one who fill the entire pages with
his art. Well known as the guy who made covers for Action Comics
and Superman series, at last his fans is released of the urge witnessing
his work on a full one whole comic book. |

|
GEORGE PEREZ
His "New Teen Titans" series from DC Comics
thought me on how to put appropriate expression on human's face drawing.
His choice of point of view is also the most natural of all these people. |

JIM LEE
The most brilliant artist from Marvel Comics.
He (in my opinion) has found a way to methodize his style so it became
that later, lots of other artists follow his style right from the root
(some even has very high similarity you could barely distinguished them).
He has develop his skill so that thick story line can be brought with few
simple pages but "marvelous" work of art. I think his team is one
of the first (if they are not the first at all) whom implement high air-brush
coloring style on comic books. |

There, you had them. Of course, many others
resides also in my heart without I myself unable to remember. I admire
and honor them, always, for what they are capable of. And even more
for leading me to my own affection. After all, it is their superb
skills which got me into this mess :) !!! |
