Daylight

A surprise flop for Stallone... but who can expect him to do well again after a series of box-office duds? As for the movie, it is but an average 90's Hollywood copy of the 60's movie classic "The Poseidon Adventure".
Entertaining nonetheless.

Music score by Michael Kamen ('Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves', 'Die Hard 2: Die Harder', '101 Dalmations')

That Thing You Do!

A song-filled exploration of a 60's one-hit wonder rock and roll band sensation.
A movie that invites the audience to share the joys (and sorrows) of a rising band.
If for some reason you dislike the song "That Thing You Do!",
then I suggest you don't watch the movie.
You probably won't enjoy it much.

Jingle All The Way

Christmas is here! (Well almost) That can only mean two things -

This movie opened with a dismal(my opinion) US$12.1m at the box office.

Directed by Brian Levant ('The Flintstones', 'Beethoven', 'Problem Child 2')
Starring Arnold Swachzenegger, Sinbad
Music score by David Newman ('Operation Dumbo Drop')

SleepersSleepersSleepersSleepers

This is the story of four childhood friends who commits a prank that goes awry and as a result
is sent to a boy's home. It is there that their lives are ruined forever.
One of my most anticipated films right now (the other being Evita).
(I mean, just look at the star-studded cast! And John Williams as the composer!
Of course, I'm into the story as well - I've just started on the book)
Earned over $12m at the U.S box office in its first week of opening.

Directed by Barry Levinson ('Rain Man')
Starring Brad Pitt, Robert DeNiro, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Bacon, Jason Patric,

A high content special effects popcorn movie meant not to be taken too seriously.

Mission Impossible

A taut spy thriller that manages to deliver suspense
- something lacking in recent action movies.
And of course, that theme song...

Directed by Brian de Palma

Music score by Danny Elfman ('The Frighteners', 'Batman')

The Cable Guy

Yup. That's Jim Carrey alright. (Can we ever get enough of him?!)
This movie marks his first shift away from the usual slapstick comedy.
A dark thriller-comedy of sorts.

The Rock
