As I said, I am a born-again Christian. I am a member of a Southern Baptist church, so I really don't mind if you insist on labelling me a Baptist. But all I can really say is that I am a Bible-believing follower of Jesus Christ. My standard of truth is a simple one: If it isn't in God's Word, then it really needs to be looked at closely. If there is no way to reconcile what a doctrine declares with what the Bible says, then that doctrine is false. I'm not real big on man-made church traditions, though -- what I call "church-ianity." I know a lot of people who make a big deal out of what kind of music a church uses in its services, how it takes up the offering, how people dress to go to church there, etc. I don't think that stuff like that matters very much. I kinda figure that, if it's not something that's clearly outlined in the Bible, you should just go with what makes you feel comfortable. Click the links below to learn more about my Christian faith.
