TITANIC The Ship Of Dreams





The voyage was a trip of everyones dreams
To be aboard the Titanic Jack must win at cards, that was his scheme

So win he did and hurry to board in a panic
Standing there waving to everyone on shore

So happy to be there on that ship that was gigantic
Before long he would meet Rose who soon he would adore

He was a poor boy and she a spoiled once rich girl who was frantic
Her mother had been left penniless , so Rose had to score

She would give herself for her mother who was in a panic
"You want me to be a dressmaker in some store?"

Rose felt her life spinning away that day on the Titanic
So away she ran across that ship and looked out to sea

This man she was suppose to marry was not her idea of a romantic
Feeling like she was suffocating, "This isn't for me"

As Jack lie there looking at the stars, he heard Rose as she ran
Across the ship to the rail where she could jump and be set free

"The water is freezing, but if you jump I jump that's my plan"
Jack soon convinced Rose that she really didn't want this to be

Lots of things went on aboard that ship in a short span
We know that the couple was a fictitious part of that journey

It makes me aware of all that lives went thru was not part of the plan
Rose and Jack brought to us all awareness of the many

People who suffered and whose lives changed in such a short span
To be the captain and to know that little help would come if any..

All the lives in his care that he was taking to America..
The headlines the Titanic made were not in the plans of many.

Always we will remember the lost men, women and children
Lives were changed and Lives lost were plenty

Boats left the Titanic half empty where people could have been
Some of the ones who survived only lived to wait to die

They knew that lives were lost unnecessarily and that's a sin..
For all those lives lost on the Titanic my heart does cry.....
