He married Hobart Ann Mathis abt. 1882. Hobart was born abt. 1868. Hobart was the daughter of William Melton Mathis and Lucinda Pamela Charlotte Bussa. Hobart died Feb. 13, 1935 Redland, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, at 66 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Feb. 13, 1935 Redland, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, Redland Cemetery. At 15 years of age Hobart became the mother of Maggie Lee Walls Nov. 1, 1883. At 15 years of age Hobart became the mother of Greenberry "Buck" Walls Nov. 1, 1883. At 20 years of age Hobart became the mother of Elbert Walls 1888. At 21 years of age Hobart became the mother of Clarence Walls 1889. At 21 years of age Hobart became the mother of Myrtle Walls Feb. 8, 1890. At 23 years of age Hobart became the mother of Jody Walls 1891. At 33 years of age Hobart became the mother of Christopher Walls July 4, 1901.

At 18 years of age Josephus became the father of Maggie Lee Walls Nov. 1, 1883. At 18 years of age Josephus became the father of Greenberry "Buck" Walls Nov. 1, 1883. At 23 years of age Josephus became the father of Elbert Walls 1888. At 24 years of age Josephus became the father of Clarence Walls 1889. At 24 years of age Josephus became the father of Myrtle Walls Feb. 8, 1890. At 26 years of age Josephus became the father of Jody Walls 1891. At 36 years of age Josephus became the father of Christopher Walls July 4, 1901.

Josephus Andrew Walls and Hobart Ann Mathis had the following children:

2 i. Nancy Jane² Walls⁽³³⁹⁾. She married Clelon Walls. Clelon became the father of Ruby Lavon Walls 1927. (See Clelon Walls for the continuation of this line.)

Nancy became the mother of Ruby Lavon Walls 1927.

3 ii. Maggie Lee Walls was born Nov. 1, 1883. Maggie died April 23, 1952 at 68 years of age.

4 iii. Greenberry "Buck" Walls was born Nov. 1, 1883. Greenberry died Sept. 18, 1920 at 36 years of age.

5 iv. Elbert Walls was born 1888. He married Unknown Chapman abt. 1912.

6 v. Clarence Walls was born 1889. He married Mary Moore abt. 1920.

7 vi. Myrtle Walls was born Feb. 8, 1890. Myrtle died Oct. 1, 1895 at 5 years of age.

8 vii. Jody Walls⁽³⁴⁰⁾ was born 1891. She married twice. She married Lee Skelton. She married Raish Chapman abt. 1910. Raish was born abt. 1890. Raish died March 1921 Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at 30 years of age. His body was interred March 1921 Chickasaw County, Mississippi, Wesley Chapel Cemetery. At 29 years of age Raish became the father of Dorinda Chapman 1919. At 31 years of age Raish became the father of Dennis Chapman 1921. (See Raish Chapman for the continuation of this line.)

At 28 years of age Jody became the mother of Dorinda Chapman 1919. At 30 years of age Jody became the mother of Dennis Chapman 1921.

9 viii. Christopher Walls was born July 4, 1901. Christopher died Dec. 9, 1915 at 14 years of age.
