1. John Scruggs1 Thompson was born Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania Oct. 17, 1806. John died July 30, 1863 Whiteside County, Illinois, at 56 years of age.
He married Sarah Peoples. Sarah became the mother of Sarah Jane Thompson Indiana, May 18, 1838.
At 31 years of age John became the father of Sarah Jane Thompson Indiana, May 18, 1838.
John Scruggs Thompson and Sarah Peoples had the following child:

18, 1907 Colorado Springs, Colorado, at 69 years of age. She married Robert McFarland Kennedy.
Robert was born Newville, Cumberland County, Pensylvania May 31, 1830. At 29 years of age Robert became the father of
Sarah Ellen Kennedy Whiteside County, Illinois, Nov. 19, 1859. (See Robert McFarland Kennedy

At 21 years of age Sarah became the mother of Sarah Ellen Kennedy Whiteside County, Illinois, Nov. 19, 1859.
