1. Horace Greely¹ Kemp was born Miami County, Ohio Feb. 5, 1853. Horace died April 18, 1946 Washington, Washington County, Kansas, at 93 years of age.

He married Emma Earnhart Miami County, Ohio, Dec. 25, 1881. Emma was born Miami County, Ohio Oct. 3, 1863. Emma was the daughter of Henry Earnhart and Rhoda Ann Miover. Emma died July 7, 1950 Washington, Washington County, Kansas, at 86 years of age. At 19 years of age Emma became the mother of Gilbert Miover Kemp Miami County, Ohio, Oct. 23, 1882. At 20 years of age Emma became the mother of Walter Edwin Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Sept. 30, 1884. At 22 years of age Emma became the mother of Lee Alfred Rundle Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, June 13, 1886. At 24 years of age Emma became the mother of Ralph Clifton Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, March 2, 1888. At 27 years of age Emma became the mother of Vada Marie Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, April 20, 1891. At 33 years of age Emma became the mother of Linton Loren Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Sept. 19, 1897. At 36 years of age Emma became the mother of Neil Emerson Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Jan. 8, 1900. At 38 years of age Emma became the mother of Earl Willard Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Nov. 23, 1901.

At 29 years of age Horace became the father of Gilbert Miover Kemp Miami County, Ohio, Oct. 23, 1882. At 31 years of age Horace became the father of Walter Edwin Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Sept. 30, 1884. At 33 years of age Horace became the father of Lee Alfred Rundle Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, June 13, 1886. At 35 years of age Horace became the father of Ralph Clifton Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, March 2, 1888. At 38 years of age Horace became the father of Vada Marie Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, April 20, 1891. At 44 years of age Horace became the father of Linton Loren Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Sept. 19, 1897. At 46 years of age Horace became the father of Neil Emerson Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Jan. 8, 1900. At 48 years of age Horace became the father of Earl Willard Kemp Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, Nov. 23, 1901.

Horace Greely Kemp and Emma Earnhart had the following children:

2 i. Gilbert Miover² Kemp was born Miami County, Ohio Oct. 23, 1882. Gilbert died July 6, 1897 Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, at 14 years of age.

3 ii. Walter Edwin Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas Sept. 30, 1884. Walter died April 8, 1973 Yuba, California, at 88 years of age. He married twice. He married Stella Evangeline Hooper Klammath Falls, Oregon, Feb. 12, 1918. Stella was born Graham, South Carolina Nov. 20, 1898. He married Edith Marshall Rhodes Lakeport, Lake County, California, June 11, 1923. Edith was born Eldorado, Butler County, Kansas Feb. 23, 1901. Edith died May 22, 1998 California, at 97 years of age.

4 iii. Lee Alfred Rundle Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas June 13, 1886. Lee died Jan. 1953 Hoxie, Sherdan County, Kansas, at 66 years of age. He married Cora Belle Mowery McCook, Red Willow County, Nebraska, Feb. 28, 1917. Cora was born Graham, Kansas Feb. 5, 1900.

5 iv. Ralph Clifton Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas March 2, 1888. Ralph died Feb. 1969 Washington, Washington County, Kansas, at 80 years of age. He married Josephine Tyler Edson, Alberta, Canada, Dec. 26, 1914. Josephine was born Florence, Fremont County, Colorad March 3, 1898.

6 v. Vada Marie Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas April 20, 1891. Vada died Feb. 18, 1977 Washington, Washington County, Kansas, at 85 years of age. She married Carl Elton Welch Washington, Kansas, April 19, 1913. Carl was born Washington, Kansas Dec. 14, 1885.

7 vi. Linton Loren Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas Sept. 19, 1897. Linton died Oct. 24, 1898 Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas, at 1 year of age. His body was interred aft. Oct. 24, 1898 Barnes, Washington County, Kansas.

8 vii. Neil Emerson Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas Jan. 8, 1900. Neil died March 20, 1967 Eureka, Humbolt County, California, at 67 years of age. His body was interred March 23, 1967 Eureka, Humbolt County, California. He married Sarah Denica Gillaspie Grants Pass, Joesphine County, Oregon, Nov. 16, 1928. Sarah was born Hopland, Mendocino County, California Dec. 16, 1908. Sarah died Jan. 12, 1993 Garberville, Humbolt County, California, at 84 years of age.

9 viii. Earl Willard Kemp was born Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas Nov. 23, 1901. Earl died May 10, 1978 Washington, Washington County, Kansas, at 76 years of age. His body was interred May 19, 1978 Barnes, Washington County, Kansas.
